Toras - winter wheat
Toras - winter wheat variety derived from crossing Tarso and Hereward wheat varieties. It was included in the German plant variety list in 2004. Given the harsh climate, this winter wheat variety is very suitable for the Baltic countries. Toras provides excellent yields, steady falling number of grains, and high baking quality. It also shows a very good resistance for winter hardiness and lodging. Perfectly withstands Fusarium disease, and being the derivative from Tarsus, Toras is highly resistant to drought and heat.
